A few questions help us personalize your report.
IgG is the most abundant immunoglobulin in your blood, constituting about 75% of total serum antibodies. It provides long-lasting immunity after infection and vaccination, and crosses the placenta to protect newborns. Low IgG leaves you vulnerable to recurrent bacterial infections and inadequate vaccine responses.
Also known as: IgG, IgG Total, Immunoglobulin G, Immunoglobuline G, Inmunoglobulina G, 免疫球蛋白G
High IgG occurs in chronic infections, autoimmune hepatitis, and multiple myeloma. Low IgG indicates humoral immunodeficiency causing recurrent infections.
Standard range is 700-1600 mg/dL. Optimal is 800-1400 mg/dL. IgG subclass testing adds value when total IgG is normal but infections recur.
