Let's analyze your NT-proBNP levels

A few questions help us personalize your report.

About NT-proBNP

NT-proBNP is the inactive fragment released alongside BNP when your heart muscle stretches under pressure or volume overload. It has a longer half-life than BNP, making it more stable for laboratory testing and widely used for heart failure diagnosis and monitoring. Age-stratified cutoffs are essential for correct interpretation.

Also known as: N-terminal pro-BNP, NT-proBNP, NTproBNP, proBNP, 利钠肽.B 激素原 N-末端

What does your NT-proBNP result mean?

High NT-proBNP indicates cardiac wall stress from heart failure, valvular disease, or acute coronary syndrome. Low NT-proBNP effectively rules out heart failure.

Optimal vs. normal range

Age-stratified cutoffs: above 450 pg/mL (under 50), above 900 pg/mL (50-75), above 1800 pg/mL (over 75). Optimal is below 125 pg/mL.
